New rules for entry to Poland in the face of the crisis in Ukraine | PRO HR Alert

2022.02.22

From the 19th of February 2022, new rules for entry into Poland apply.

Previous restrictions on entry from Ukraine have been lifted. This means that persons entering Poland will not be subject to verification as to the purpose of entry.

While the above changes do not affect the right of Ukrainian citizens to enter Poland (so far they have been entitled to enter regardless of the purpose of their stay), they do make it possible for persons who previously had no such right to cross the Polish-Ukrainian border to do so. This is particularly important in view of the ongoing crisis in Ukraine and the prospect of the evacuation of citizens of other countries from its territory.

Restrictions on crossing the Polish border remain unchanged in relation to entry from Russia and Belarus.

We would like to remind you that the change of restrictions related to the right of entry to Poland does not affect the obligations of persons entering Poland in terms of holding relevant documents confirming the fact of performing a COVID-19 test and vaccination, as well as relevant entry documents.
