As of April 1 this year, applications for A1 certificates can only be submitted electronically via the Electronic Services Platform (PUE). 

Paper applications will not be accepted. 

The A1 certificate is a document confirming that a person moving for professional purposes is subject to the social security regulations (social insurance and health insurance) of the indicated member state. It is valid on the territory of the European Union, the European Economic Area and Switzerland.  

The certificate is also issued by the authority only in an electronic form via the PUE platform.  

Moreover, as of April 1, ZUS has launched the "A1 ZUS validator", a tool enabling online verification of the validity of the certificate. The validator will be available to the employer or the foreign social security institution or any other entity wishing to verify the validity and authenticity of the certificate.
