Six months to adapt workstations to minimum occupational safety and health requirements | PRO HR December 203

2023.12.19

Following the amendment of the regulation on OSH at workstations equipped with display units, the employer is obliged to:

  1. Equip the workstation where a laptop or other portable system is used with a monitor or stand ensuring ergonomic positioning of the screen and with an additional keyboard and mouse.
  2. Provide an office chair with adjustable armrests and height-adjustable lumbar support.
  3. Provide employees with prescription glasses or contact lenses as recommended by the occupational physician.

The change also applies to remote workers, which results in the need to update the information on the conditions for performing remote work.

For jobs created after 17 November 2023, the minimum occupational safety and health requirements must be provided before the employee is allowed to work.
