Starting 1 April 2023, citizens of Ukraine will be able to apply for temporary residence and work permits and the Blue Card.

As a result of an amendment to the Ukrainian special law, the deadline for submitting residence applications was finally pushed back.

The possibility to submit applications applies to those who entered Poland after 24 February 2022 in connection with the war in Ukraine, enjoy EU temporary protection and have the UKR status.

Citizens of Ukraine will be able to obtain a residence permit for a maximum of 3 years; if the conditions are not met it will be possible to obtain a residence permit for 1 year.  

Applications submitted before 1 April 2023 will be left without processing.

Due to the low availability of free slots for submitting applications and the longer expected time for their processing, we recommend immediate action.
