Quarantine upon arrival in Poland reduced to 7 days | PRO HR Alert

According to the Ordinance of the Council of Ministers of the 10th of February 2022 amending the Ordinance on establishing certain restrictions, orders and prohibitions in connection with the outbreak of an epidemic, the period of the compulsory quarantine for persons entering Poland is shortened. Previously, the quarantine was in force for 14 days counting from the day after crossing the border. Since the 11th of February this year, the period has been reduced to 7 days.
It is worth recalling that persons will continue to be exempt from quarantine:
- in the case of entry from a non-Schengen country - present a negative result of a diagnostic test for SARS-CoV-2 in Polish or English taken, before crossing the border, within 24 hours from the result of the test; such a test may be taken at the airport within 3 hours from crossing the border;
The obligation to perform the test in this case also applies to vaccinated and recovered persons who have appropriate certificates proving such circumstances.
- in case of entry from a Schengen State - they shall present:
- a negative result of a diagnostic test for SARS-CoV-2 performed, before crossing the border, within 48 hours from the result of the test, or
- a valid attestation of protective vaccination against COVID-19 with a vaccine authorised for marketing in the European Union or included in the list of vaccine equivalents authorised for marketing in the territory of the Republic of Poland, kept by the National Institute of Public Health of the National Institute of Hygiene - National Research Institute, when at least 14 days have elapsed since the date of administration of a one-dose vaccine or, in the case of a two-dose vaccine, of a second dose of the vaccine, and in the case of a second dose of the vaccine since the date of administration of that dose, or
- a document confirming the infection with the virus not later than 6 months before crossing the Polish border.
