Applications submitted earlier than 9 months after the date of arrival in Poland will be rejected without examination of the case by the voivode, which the applicant will be advised about by mail.

An alternative solution to obtaining a temporary residence permit may be a new procedure for applying for Polish visas, providing for an opportunity to obtain a visa by a foreigner residing in Poland.

The authority entitled to issue visas in such cases is the Minister of Foreign Affairs. Details regarding the filing of visa applications are expected to be provided in a pertinent regulation.
