Poland joins the vaccine passport system | PRO HR June 2021

2021.06.07

Holding a COVID certificate will facilitate travel. The certificates – the so-called vaccine passports – confirm that you are a convalescent, have been vaccinated or have obtained a negative COVID-19 test result. The passports are issued under a special EU IT system and recognized by other EU countries.

The certificate may be obtained in a hardcopy or digital format. The second format is available from the Patient’s Internet Account. From the account you can download a QR code which contains your details. From 25 June it can also be obtained in the Moje IKP and mObywatel apps. The certificates will be read using a special application planned to be available as of 10 June.

Apart from Poland, for the time being, 6 other EU states joined the system: Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Greece and Croatia.
