PhD in jurisprudence. Head of the Department of Labour Law and Civil Procedure at the University of Zielona Gora, professor at the University of Silesia in Katowice, attorney-at-law. Secretary General of the Polish Section of the International Employment Law and Social Security Association. In 2010 the Minister of Science and Higher Education awarded him with a second-degree award for academic achievement. A member of the Editorial Committee of the Monitor Prawa Pracy magazine. Legal adviser. Lecturer in Legal Advisers’ Training Program organized by the Regional Association of Legal Advisers in Warsaw. Author of numerous studies, articles and glosses, including books entitled “Employing Management Board Members”, “Transfer of the Workplace to Another Employer”, “Different Forms of Employment”, “Dismissals Due to Reasons Unrelated to Employees” (co-author), “Employer’s Risk” and “Public Service Law” (co-author). Co-author of a commentary to the Labour Law Code by L. Florek, issued by Wolters Kluwer (commentary to the Working Hours and Employee Leaves chapters).
