PRO HR Cafe | HR and the war in Ukraine

The situation in Ukraine has a personal dimension for many of us, but it is also not without impact on our work. HR departments face enormous challenges in hiring, relocating and assisting Ukrainian citizens, among other things.

These are just some of the issues that now is the time to face and at the same time a good moment to discuss them in more detail.

Agenda: 

  • What are the rules of hiring Ukrainians?
  • How to deal with the departure of Ukrainian workers back to their country?
  • How to relocate business and employees to Poland?
  • How to effectively help Ukrainians in Poland and Ukraine?

These and other problems of HR departments related to the war in Ukraine will be answered by attorney-at-law Iwona Jaroszewska-Ignatowska PhD, who will be the guest of Bartłomiej Raczkowski in the 12th episode of PRO HR Cafe.

Speakers

For over 25 years he has been advising the largest international and Polish companies in labour and employment law. A well-regarded leading employment lawyer in Poland.

Vice-Chair of the Outreach to International Lawyers Committee of the American Bar Association’s Labour and Employment Law Section. Member of the American Employment Law Council, the most prestigious American organization of employment lawyers. Past Chair of the European Employment Lawyers Association. Member of the International Bar Association, the American Immigration Lawyers Association and an associate member of the American Bar Association’s Employment Law Section. Member of the Editorial Board of the Polish Employment Law Monitor.

Founding member and the first Chair of the Employment Committee of the Warsaw Bar. He was also a member of the Steering Committee of the International Forum on Employment Law, the Founder and the first Chair of the Employment Law Association in Poland. During his studies, he served as Vice-President of the International Board of the European Law Students Association (ELSA) and President of ELSA Cracow. 

He was an assistant professor in the Jagiellonian University’s Department of Labour Law. Author of many academic and popularizing publications.
