Underpayment for a civil contract is a misdemeanor. When entering into a contract of mandate or commision with someone, the minimum hourly rate must be taken into account. If the remuneration for the amount of work performed by the contractor is lower than specified in the minimum rate, the principal may pay a fine of up to PLN 30,000.
