The social labour inspectorate has the task of working together with the employer and employees to create safe working conditions. However, it often comes into conflict with the employer. The Law on Social Labour Inspectorate imposes a number of obligations on employers. Failure to comply with them may result in criminal liability of the employer and persons who act on behalf of the employer.
