It explains the differences between liquidation of a position and reduction of employment and explains what an occupational group is and the criteria for selection for dismissal. The article also refers to making redundancies in one region by employers operating throughout Poland or in several regions. It proposes a practical (though not shared by the courts) approach to the criteria for selection for dismissal in such a case.
