The PIP (State Labour Inspectorate) planned to carry out over 50,000 inspections in 2021. Unplanned inspections are also included. Employers and employees are obliged to cooperate with the PIP during inspections. They must provide access to premises, documents, give explanations and testimonies. Obstructing a PIP inspection is prohibited and can be punished as a crime or a misconduct.
