The following employees can work:

• in retail,
• in healthcare and pharmacies,
• others where the Labor Code allows for work during holidays (e.g. in transportation and telecommunications, in hotels and restaurants, in the case of shift work) 

However, during the settlement period that includes November, they must either be given a free day or paid remuneration with a bonus. 

Other employees are not allowed to work on this day and instead take a day off on, for example, November 2, even at their own request.

Schools, kindergartens, creches, public offices and courts will be closed. 

Employers must verify schedules, as the amount of working time in the settlement period that includes November 2018 must be decreased by 8 hours. In consequence, it may be necessary to request overtime work on other days.

It may also be necessary to recalculate and settle compensation for unused leave that has already been paid out to employees this year. 

The bill awaits the Senate's decision, and then the President's signature.
