PRO HR Cafe | A new challenge for HR – the COVID-19 vaccine

The COVID-19 reality is a period of constant questions and doubts: what are the employers’ obligations, and what are the employees' duties.

During the first episode of the PRO HR Cafe, Bartłomiej Raczkowski and Michał Kacprzyk will talk about financing instruments for employers, the impact of the coronavirus on the ways of work, as well as the best practices in the event of an employee being diagnosed positive with COVID-19.

Issues that will be discussed:

  • Is the anti-crisis shield still working?
  • What obligations does the employer have in relation to the pandemic?
  • What an employer is supposed to do if an employee is positive for COVID-19?
  • What are the rights and obligations related to quarantine and which are related to isolation?

For over 25 years he has been advising the largest international and Polish companies in labour and employment law. A well-regarded leading employment lawyer in Poland.

Vice-Chair of the Outreach to International Lawyers Committee of the American Bar Association’s Labour and Employment Law Section. Member of the American Employment Law Council, the most prestigious American organization of employment lawyers. Past Chair of the European Employment Lawyers Association. Member of the International Bar Association, the American Immigration Lawyers Association and an associate member of the American Bar Association’s Employment Law Section. Member of the Editorial Board of the Polish Employment Law Monitor.

Founding member and the first Chair of the Employment Committee of the Warsaw Bar. He was also a member of the Steering Committee of the International Forum on Employment Law, the Founder and the first Chair of the Employment Law Association in Poland. During his studies, he served as Vice-President of the International Board of the European Law Students Association (ELSA) and President of ELSA Cracow. 

He was an assistant professor in the Jagiellonian University’s Department of Labour Law. Author of many academic and popularizing publications.

For many years, individually mentioned as a leader in labour law by all reputable Polish and international publications such as Chambers&Partners, The Legal 500, Who’s Who Legal, and Rzeczpospolita.

Michał specialises in all aspects of employing foreigners in Poland, including implementing the most effective practices. In addition, he advises on the international mobility of employees, complex issues related to corporate immigration at all stages of people planning and hiring, as well as the posting of workers to provide services abroad.

His expertise covers all cross-border HR aspects. He supports clients in coordinating and implementing all of their national and international HR requirements.

He is an author of many publications and comments in scientific journals and newspapers. Michał is a member of The American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and the American Bar Association.
