PRO HR Immigration Update – October 2025

Since 12 October 2025, the Entry/Exit System (EES) has been in force at the external borders of the European Union

At present, the EES is operational at selected border crossing points.

 

Work on introducing an electronic residence permit application procedure is underway

A draft amendment to the Act on Foreigners has been submitted to the Senate.

 

US and Israeli citizens are no longer entitled to visa-free stays in Poland exceeding 90 days within any 180-day period

Due to the Entry/Exit System (EES) coming into effect on 12 October 2025, several bilateral agreements concluded by Poland concerning visa-free stays have ceased to apply.
