Changes to the initial health and safety training card – electronic confirmation of training

On 12 December 2025, provisions entered into force allowing employees to confirm the completion of general health and safety training and job-specific training in electronic form. In the same form, the head of the organisational unit in which the employee is employed may confirm the completion of job-specific training and the employee’s admission to work in a specific position.

The employer will be obliged to:

  1. make a note on the initial training card regarding the form of confirmation, in the place intended for the signature of the employee or the head of the organisational unit, respectively;
  2. attach to the initial training card an electronic document (or a copy);
  3. store the attached documents in the employee’s personnel files together with the initial training card.

In light of these changes, it is advisable to develop clear rules for documenting and reporting training, as well as to review existing policies in order to align them with the amended regulations.
